More then likly the cpu, or motherboard, or both. THe power supply blew, so I replaced that, but its dead. More then likly just the cpu cause I do have the green standby power light on. Sucks. Can't do anything right now untill after taxes.

Its an LGA 775 socket. I found a few for under 100 bucks, but we can't do anything till after the taxes, so im out for at least 2 more months. What a fucking bummer. I thought they'd be cheaper, but I gotta get at least a dual core for the game. Most of them were end of life, so i was suprised they still were high. The old one I had was a prescott chipset, which alwas ran high temp, the newer ones, run alot cooler, which for me is a good thing. I've been looking for a store around here, which could test the thing, but haven't found anyone near me with a tester. I'd send it back to intel, but don't have anything to ship it in, they won't take unless you have the original cpu holder. Otherwise they say it could have been damaged in shipping. Oh well.

Hey Chungo Thanx for the offer bro. But we should get our rebate back in 2 weeks. Hope to be flying in about a month. Got a sweet rig put together. Going large. for about 400 bucks, I put a kick arse system together.
Heres the specs
Thats some serious shyte right there. Should get me through a few years. My New Power Supply better not fuck up though. Its a 550W, but its a cheapo, so as soon as I can replace it with a 750 I will. Can't order anything for a little bit. But this thing should scream. No more, "uhh, uhh, anyone see anything"? LOL I went with a mother board that only had one PCI Xpress, I was gonna go for one with 2 slots, for another 30 bucks, to run SLI, but screw it. I talked with scuzzy about it, and the performace isn't worth it. Frame tears and crap. Considering this is the only game I play, I'm set. If I played some other crap like crysis or somethjing heavy ended, I might have considered it. But I'm just waiting to see the land in the game as it should be. Probable still wont see the tank that shot me, or the guy who got on my 6 either but hey, wtf. I'm just stoked my wife allowed me to do this. Considering she's been putting up with my arse. Anyway cheers, and see you guys in the skies as soon as I can.

Hey Chungo. If you got my phone number give me a buzz. The system you have has a pci xpress 1.0 x 16 slot. Instead of the cpu upgrade. You may want to think about the gt9500 video. Especially now that newer cards are coming out. The 200 series will dominate for a bit. The problem with it though, that it's on the verge of being obsolete. Heres one. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814162022 Its about 46 bucks with the mail in rebate. I dont think in the game your going to see any performance increase with the additional cpu. I know Hitech takes advantage of 2 cpu's but I dont know how its handled with 3. You may want to call skuzzy to find out. Also you may want to look at putting in some additional fans, for cheap prices, and start overclocking. Overclocking is fine as long as you maintain tempatures. If you need my number pm me. Cheers. btw, again thanx for the offer, but I think my other mobo was shot. Im gonna post some pics of case after the disaster.

I think the video card I have right now is better. ASUS EN9800GT/HTDP/512MD3 GeForce 9800 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card. I consistently run frame rates of 70+ in Aceshigh. I do have the ability to overclock with the AMD chip, but I've only dabbled with this. I wonder if there's a need to overclock?

LOL, oh yeah thats a hell of a lot better. Sorry, I misread the specs, I didnt see the version 2 on the slot. Also thought you were running with the onboard video. Yeah your doing fairly well there. How much mem you running. and what type. maybe 1066 might help. The cpu upgrade, you might want to look at benchmark/comparison charts. Intel gives me a list like this http://ark.intel.com/Compare.aspx?ids=33910,36503, See if amd has something.

Lol.. I had to disable the onboard video when Aceshigh came out with a graphics update. I have 4 gigs of DDR2 800 RAM. I wonder if going to the 1066 or just doubling the 800, so I would be running 8 gigs, would be cost effective.

You would definilty see a performance increase with adding the 1066 mem. But more then lickly if you can get some fans, and a really good cpu cooler, overclocking would be the way to go with what you have. There's many sites around that can help you. I dont use AMD, so Im not good with that chipset. BUT, if you go that route, first see how you case is made. It looks like a micro ATX board, so if you have a half height case, thats gonna be a little tough. Probable would'nt be easy. Then see how many fan plugs you have. their 3 pin connectors, you may need to look at the manual. Fans are relitively cheap. But if you can put in 3-4, for good airflow in-out, that would be great. Don't forget your power too, whats the rating on your PSU. In a micro ATX case, they're usually small. but if your using a 9800 vid card, its gotta be at least 500 watts.

I presently have 3 case fans, 1 in front, 1 in back and one on the side. Should I add another? I have a full size tower so adding fans is not a problem. The CPU uses the stock/supplied fan. Is there another alternative? The power supply is presently 750 watts, so I think I'm ok here. I'll look into overclocking! Thanks!!!

I had an AMD for a while and overclocked it. It did like to run hot. When I started AH it was like I pushed the WEP button on my computer.

Thanks!!! You'd have to look at the chipset, but newegg, has a ton of cpu coolers. I recommend the best one you can get if you overclock it. Just make sure it has room to be installed. Some are very large and interfer with other components around it. New egg, has all the specs though, so you can measure and see the product before you buy it.
